Character Creation Rules
This page summarizes the various choices that are used in this campaign for character creation. Note that several options ask that you talk to your GM before selecting them for your character. This is so that I can be sure that you understand the difficulties that the option will put on your character.
You will also want to investigate the following sections.
We are using the 20 point (High Fantasy). This is the same as I used to create the characters for Legacy of Fire, so your characters should have a similar level of power.
The following races are readily available and encouraged for use.
The following races are very unusual, or will have role-playing challenges. Talk to the DM before selecting one of these.
Most classes are available. Talk to your GM if you want to be one of the following classes which would be very unusual.
Feats and Traits
All normal rules for starting Feats are in effect. All of the feats from Northlands are available, except for the Monster Feats which are only available to monsters.
Characters are also allowed to select two Traits during character creation. One, and only one, of these must be one of the campaign Traits. If there isn’t a campaign trait that fits your character idea, talk to the DM and we will create one together.
Skills are selected as per the normal rules.
